Typically used when shipping large items, pallets are an underrated source of decoration. Stores that receive lots of deliveries will often discard them when everything’s been unloaded, so you may be able snag a few for free!
you can transform a wood pallet into a decorative piece of furniture, art, garden fixture— you get the idea.
Here’s 5 ways that wooden pallets can be repurposed from useless to useful:
1. STANDING GARDEN
Because of the space between each slat, these are easy to pack plants into to make a very beautiful standing garden.
2. BOOKSHELF OR TOY BIN
Reassembling a pallet can take it from flat to standing and make it great for holding books, toys and other knick knacks.
Using rope or chain, you can suspend a pallet and transform it into a nice place to relax on the porch or patio.
4. FLOWER BOX
Create a rectangle and use a pallet for indoor/outdoor flower boxes. Use them both indoors and outdoors to have a theme that carries throughout your home.
Make some stools for extra seating or to have at your kitchen bar by stacking a few pallets and adding some cool faux leather fabric to them.
